Peñón de Sopelana was founded on June 18, 1998. This BAR RESTAURANT located on the beach of Atxabiribil in SOPELANA, near the sea, has become a reference and meeting point on the coast of Bizkaia. Better known as El Peñon, El Peñon de Sopelana enjoys magnificent views of the sea. Its privileged location and wonderful surroundings make it the ideal place to have a drink and a snack while the sun energizes us and the sea breeze caresses us on any of its terraces.

The peculiarity of the venue means that it has served as a stage on many occasions for the organization of events of all kinds, such as those carried out for Nike, Nissan Micra, Suzuki, …..

Every year the anniversary of the restaurant is celebrated with a party between the 18th and 25th of June. In this event every time we bring some interesting celebrities, Eugenia Santana (Miss Spain), Jacqueline de la Vega, Yvonne Reyes, Paula Vazquez, ….., supporting or collaborating with NGOs. All the TV stations come and a cocktail is offered for the guests and there is always a good party.

The premises have three terraces on different levels with an area of 600 square meters. Upper bar with capacity for 100 people covered and 200 uncovered. Lower bar with capacity for 80 people in covered and uncovered 200 people. Customers can have the upstairs fully prepared and acclimatized for WEDDINGS, BAPTISMS, BIRTHDAYS, private parties and celebrations of all kinds with one of the best views and closer to the sea, the planet, come with your idea and ask for a quote.
